The Color Glory
Capture the sun and fun of an energetic season on your eyes with this flashy make up trend.
Be bright. Fun make up is not restricted by age or color rather it is made to reign freely. As seen at Anna Sui, Chanel and Veronique Branquinho, the trend brightens the face and expresses energy, vivacity and optimism. So, change up the standard brown and red undertones and continue your summer love affair with an intense pop of colors in the shades of azure, violet or pulsating sun.

“Most women are very scared to try color and it’s great that the whole trend that essentially begun with nail art and crazy hair, now carried over to make up,” says make up artist Samantha Trinh who has worked with supermodels in collaborations with ELLE, Vogue, and V magazine among her extensive list of work. Though Ms. Trinh does not believe in makeup rules, she suggests following the general formula of maintaining a natural face while sporting these strong CHANEL-esque eyes from the French maison’s catwalk.
To get the look, Ms. Trinh says to focus on one aspect of the face. The look fundamentally relies on color, making the technique short and modest. Keep the lips and the skin minimal for the bright eye look, however, you can go for a similar shade on you lips in a sheer wash or stain as oppose to a full lip color. Mascara, naturally radiant skin and groomed eyebrows are a must to top off the desired flirty look.
