A Fit Fall
According to designers, fall is the season - and the reason - to get physical.

et Set. Ready. Go. Once a dirty word in fashion, sportswear evolves to become a healthy dynamic building block of a designer’s collection enabling women to look and feel fit. Fashion houses from Alexander Wang in New York to Alexander McQueen in Paris incorporate technical fabrics, such as PVC, nylon, neoprene, and lycra to activate a whole new arena of sporty yet elegant looks. “Women want to be comfy but trendy,” observes stylist Garlone Jadoul. “They are switching high heels for trendy sneakers.” The sporty spirit of the season is especially accentuated by the affluence of fleece and mesh fabrics in a primary palette of red, blue and black.

To be in good shape in the season’s athletic shapes and cut, Ms. Jadoul advises, “Never try a total look!” Instead, she suggests mixing mirrored sunglasses with a white T-shirt, sneakers with a minimal dress, or a sweat shirt with a good denim piece. Ms. Jadoul believes the best investment of the season is a K-Way in silver and a white Nike air force one. “For girls I prefer the low-top version,” she explains, “so you can wear it easily with a skirt.”
